Choosing to cheat.

I heard Shaun King discuss the concept of “choosing to cheat”.
In life, every single day, something gets cheated.
The trick is to consciously choose what that will be.

If you allow the systems of the world to decide for you- it’s usually going to be something that cannot afford to be cheated.

It will be things that cost you the most:
your physical, emotional and mental health, your close relationships, an essential moment that is lost forever.

So choose to purposely cheat one area in order to be present in another.

So. I’ve been way over-busy... which before in life would leave me over-stimulated and overwhelmed. 😮

I now know to take care of myself and my “needs”.

I am a professional Healer and Teacher and have responsibilities to my clients and students.

There’s self-care needed in order for me to be present.

I need fresh juice and food, time in my garden, meditation, healings and to be reading books.
I’m always reading a “work” book about energy and a fun book as an escape.

I make time to connect with my loved ones so they know they’re important to me. 🧡🧡

I purposely schedule fun things to help keep me in balance.
*I’m seeing a few live comedies and concerts soon 🤪

Whilst pondering the podcast I thought about how my “wants” got left behind.

I want to write, do yoga, hike...
What can I cheat so that I can have time for those?

I can let my house and yard go a bit sideways more often.

I can reign back some interactions and that are not mutually beneficial.

I can be more discerning with my time, in real time, and when something doesn’t feel aligned-
draw a line and move on.

I tend to be organic with my unscheduled time and I now realize that if I purposely schedule in my wants- they won’t get cheated.

So in choosing to cheat- I’m choosing me.
